RAZOR: "WAR IS OUR IMPERATIVE... SO WE WILL FIGHT."

Friday 13 July 2007
I'm sure there are plenty of people still scratching their heads over Battlestar Galactica's bizarre (unbelievable?) twist in its season 3 finale. The fourth/final season won't debut in the US until 2008, but fans deperate for their fix of BSG will get their wish in the autumn when Razor debuts.

No, fortunately Razor is not an ill-advised spin-off series. Even Caprica, the long promised (threatened?) prequel series, seems to have died a death on the drawing board now. Instead, Razor is a one-off feature-length prequel focusing on the Battlestar Pegasus (another ship that escaped the Cylon's genocide in the show's first episode), meaning the return of some characters we only got to know briefly during season 2... like Michelle Forbes' Commander Cain.

And... wouldn't you know it... here's the trailer:

Well, it looks okay; but nothing special. Razor should be a nice little adventure to tide fans over until season 4, but the trailer didn't get my heart racing.
