The writers strike in Hollywood certainly struck the Golden Globes, with the famous awards ceremony reduced to a "news event" -- with no writers to craft any links/speeches, and most actors standing alongside the WGA and refusing to support the show...

But, "some semblance of a show must go on", and the winners announced were:
