Pick of the Week: "Torchwood" -- BBC1, Mon-Fri @9pm

A surprisingly strong week for new TV considering we're deep into summer now. Read on for my personal selection of the best, new UK television for the next seven days:

MONDAY 6th
Wogan's Perfect Recall (Channel 4, 5pm) Return of the memory-based quiz, hosted by Terry Wogan.
For All Mankind (BBC4, 8.45pm) Documentary on the '60s space race.
The Hotel Inspector (Five, 9pm) Return of the series about, yes, a hotel inspector.
Torchwood: Children Of Earth (BBC1, 9pm) Five-part special of the popular sci-fi drama, starring John Barrowman, Eve Myles, Gareth David-Lloyd, Kai Owen, Peter Capaldi, Paul Copley, Lucy Cohu & Susan Brown. Continues daily at 9pm until Friday.
One Tree Hill (E4, 9pm) Season 6 of the US drama.

TUESDAY 7th
You Have Been Watching (Channel 4, 10pm) Charlie Brooker takes a look a satirical look at the week's TV with a live studio audience.

WEDNESDAY 8th
Taking The Flak (BBC2, 9pm) Comedy-drama about journalists embedded with the army in Africa. Stars Stars Martin Jarvis, Bruce Mackinnon, Doon Mackichan, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Joanna Brookes & Lloyd Owen.
Getting On (BBC4, 10pm) Comedy about carers for the elderly. Stars Jo Brand, Ricky Grover, Joanna Scanlan & Vicki Pepperdine.

THURSDAY 9th
Mock The Week (BBC2, 9pm) Return of the topical comedy panel show. Part 1 of 12.

FRIDAY 10th
T In The Park 2009 (BBC3/BBC2, 8pm) The three-day festival in Balado, Scotland, presented by Edith Bowman, Reggie Yates , Nick Grimshaw & Matt Edmondson. Featuring The Killers, Blur, Snow Patrol, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Nine Inch Nails, Keane, The View, Manic Street Preachers & The Pet Shop Boys.

SATURDAY 11th
Katie Price Exclusive (ITV1, 9pm) The recently-separated celebrity talks to Piers Morgan about her split from Peter Andre.

SUNDAY 12th
Heartland (E4, 4pm) Drama about a family-run ranch in the Canadian mountains.
Michael Jackson's Last Days: What Really Happened? (Channel 4, 9pm)
