The Walking Dead & Pillars Of The Earth purchased by UK broadcasters

AMC's six-part zombie series The Walking Dead has been picked up by FX in the UK, and Starz's historical epic Pillars Of The Earth has been bought by Channel 4. This means both show will be available in HD to British audiences, although obviously FX is something of a niche digital channel. Interestingly, Channel 4's acquisition makes Pillars the first North American TV series to make its UK debut on that channel since Dirty Sexy Money in 2008.
