After a few week's break, my TV Picks resume; once again, highlighting the most notable new/returning shows to UK screens...

MONDAY 10th
The Roux Scholarship 2013 (Watch, 7pm) Cookery contest where the winner receives a placement in a Michelin-star restaurant. Judges are Rick Stein, Raymond Blanc, James Martin & Angela Hartnett. (1/10)
Bollywood Carmen Live (BBC3, 9pm) Live arts event where Bizet's opera Camen is performed in Bradford.

Precision: The Measure of All Things (BBC4, 9pm) Documentary about units of measurement. Presented by Marcus du Sautoy. (1/3)
Big Fat Gypsy Weddings: Life on the Run (Channel 4, 9pm) Documentary about the gypsy community and how their way of life has adapted to modern life.
PICK OF THE DAY Dates (Channel 4, 10pm) New romantic drama about people going on first dates. Starring Will Mellor, Oona Chaplin, Annie Hulley, April Pearson & Madeline Duggan. Continues tomorrow and Wednesday. (1/9)
Helicopter Rescue (BBC1, 10.35pm) Documentary about the RAF Search & Rescue crews in Wales. (1/2)


TUESDAY 11th
Gibraltar: Britain in the Sun (Channel 5, 8pm) Documentary about the British Overseas Territory on the south coast of Spain. (1/6)
PICK OF THE DAY Child Genius (Channel 4, 9pm) Documentary following the lives of young children participating in a Mensa test to find the UK's brightest youngster. (1/4)

Agnetha: Abba & After (BBC1, 10.35pm) Documentary on Swedish singer Agnetha Faltskog, one quarter of iconic pop group Abba.

Compare Your Life (Channel 4, 8pm) New series where Carlton Hood, former CEO of confused.com, helps change lives using the principles of a comparison website. (1/6)
Horizon: The Secret Life of a Cat (BBC2, 9pm) Science special investigating what domesticated cats get up to at night.
Happy Families (ITV, 9pm) New documentary series about three UK households with devoted mothers. (1/4)
Life Savers (BBC1, 9pm) New series following patients at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. (1/3)

PICK OF THE DAY Micro Monsters with David Attenborough (Sky1, 8pm) New wildlife series focusing on the world of bugs. (1/6)
Goodbye Granadaland (ITV, 8.30pm) Special celebrating Granada Studios, which is closing after 56 years, having been used to film the likes of Prime Suspect, Coronation Street, Stars in Their Eyes, Brideshead Revisited, etc. Hosted by Peter Kay.

SUNDAY 16th
